The Emergency Medicine Examination Reference Group for Europe (EMERGE) is the committee of senior examiners who are responsible for delivering the European Board Examination in Emergency Medicine (EBEEM).

EMERGE is responsible for organising, developing and implementing all the elements necessary for the successful delivery of the EBEEM:

• Examination format and content
• Standard setting and adjudication
• Examination regulations
• Examination schedule
• Preparation guidance for candidates
• Examiner criteria, selection and training
• Preparation of annual business plans and fee structures
• Candidate and applicant database.
